Artifact #1- Standard 1, Element 1.3

<https://docs.google.com/document/d/16>

Standard 1:
Scientific and Theoretical Knowledge

Element 1.3: Describe and apply motor
development theory and principles related
to skillful movement, physical activity
and fitness.

Artifact: Motor development lab
               assessment sheet. Lab 5

Date: November 2011

Reflection:

This lab assessment sheet was used to observe
students between Pre-K and 6th grade and
assess their Stationary bouncing and Kicking skills
and determine whether or not they were at the
Initial, Elementary, or Mature stages.

The assessment was done based on observed performances
of the skills and demonstration, or lack thereof, of certain
criteria for each locomotor movement.

My assessment results showed that one student, the younger one,
demonstrated lack of skill in both of the locomotor movements.
This student would be placed in the Initial stage while the other student
would be grouped into the higher end of the Elementary stage.
This other student, the older one, performed the movements
but without the technique or precision to be classified in the
Mature stage.
